We’re Active

Fifteen months later…we are truly here.

Paperwork, fingerprints, home visits, background checks…all of it is done. Our new agency, which has been incredible to us, is looking for a baby for us RIGHT THIS MINUTE.

The only thing left for us to do is sit back and wait for God to show us where our baby is.

Oh, and raise $15,000 more. We estimate that we have already raised and spent $10,000 on this adoption because our original program shut down, and we had to redo (and repay for) a lot of things.

We have to have the money by the time we are matched! And that could be anytime! We have applied for grants, and we have an interview Monday for one of those. We are planning another giant fundraiser garage sale sometime in March. And Angi Carlson Train has graciously offered to teach a painting class for us to raise money!

I can’t begin to tell you how grateful we are for the help and encouragement we have received so far, but I need to humbly ask for your help again. There are several things you can do, and we appreciate any and all help!

Here are some ideas:

*Please pray for us! Pray that God would provide the funds we need before we are introduced to our baby! Pray that the transition would be smooth and easy for our family. Pray that the birth mom would feel loved and accepted by our family, and that she would feel confident in her decision.

*Do you have gently used items that you were planning to take to Goodwill? Please consider donating them to our fundraiser sale instead. Our garage is ready and we are accepting items now!

*Plan to shop at our sale! Last year it was a monster!

*Donate to our AdoptTogether Account. It’s tax deductible!

*Purchase snowflakes on the gofundme account that my friend Amanda set up for us. You can help by donating as little as $2!

*Let us know if you have cans and bottles! We will gladly come and pick them up.

*Declutter your unwanted new or gently used items. We will gladly take items that can be sold on eBay or Poshmark.

*Plan to attend our fundraiser Paint Night with Angi! She has a fun project planned to teach us!

*Suggest other fundraiser ideas! I am so thankful for any ideas!

Our family is so happy to finally be at this point in this process. We can’t wait to meet our new little one. ❤️
